Water service in Metro Cebu is interrupted for pipe repairs, leak fixes, new connections and system upgrades. Many of these are emergency repairs announced on the same day. Pahibalo alerts you for the barangays you choose, so you have time to fill containers.
What a water alert tells you
- The barangays, streets or subdivisions affected
- When the interruption starts and when service should return
- The reason, such as a pipe repair
- A link to the water district's official advisory
Scheduled and emergency interruptions
For planned work you get alerts the day before and on the morning itself. Emergency repairs are often announced only hours ahead; when that happens, we alert you as soon as the advisory is out.
Areas covered
We are starting with the Metropolitan Cebu Water District (MCWD), which serves Metro Cebu. Water districts outside Metro Cebu will follow. See Utilities we cover.
Tips before an interruption
- Fill clean, covered containers with drinking and washing water.
- When service returns, let the tap run for a short while if the water looks cloudy.
- Check the official advisory for the expected time service returns.
